Artists regularly selling original paintings at Neil’s Gallery are:
Ann Blowman (‘Martha’)
As a child Ann’s favourite subject was Art yet it wasn’t until her three children had grown up that she painted again. Bright colours, the seaside, the countryside and people all inspire her and living near the coast she has Filey Bay and the Yorkshire Wolds to draw inspiration from. Ann paints in acrylics and is famous for idyllic scenes with characterful people and animals.
George Sparkes
Filey artist George Sparkes is renowned for his landscapes, dramatic seascapes and historic scenes in a traditional Victorian style; but look out for the occasional painting demonstrating his humorous side too. George works predominantly in acrylics, often on a large scale.
Wendy Sparkes
A watercolourist, Wendy (George’s wife) paints serene scenes often of Norfolk or the Lake District.
Chris Taylor
Lincolnshire born, Chris moved to the Filey area in 1960 where he still lives. Since retiring Chris has been able to devote more time to his love of painting. The colours of the sky and the reflections on the sea or beach are featured a lot in his work. His main mediums are acrylic or oil.
